This is actually just background artwork for the flap pages of the volume 1 book collection (from Renoir Comics in Italy later this year), but I wanted to use that space to say a little something about the characters illustratively. The layout in print form will be different, of course. It's a combination of pencil art, digital painting and utilizing old photos of my ancestors to create borders and texture brushes for the antiquing effects.
